computer desk - keyboard "drawer"

    You know those sliding "drawers" for a keyboard on some computer desks?
    Well, can you buy those bits separately so you can build your own?

    Your looking for drawer runners. There are various types so you'll need a set that are suitable for adding a plain piece of board onto. Unfortunately, the modern runners are generally rather hi-tech/self-closing items which are designed to attached to a draw formed to suit. But I've seen the more basic types in my travels - ones that are more ideally suited and cheaper.

    Try a kitchen supply shop. Or Chadwicks perhaps.
