Short term car insurance.

I'm looking to get a quote for 1 months car insurance at the minute but I cant find any companies that are willing to insure on such a short term.

123 and quinn will charge me 20% ( the cost of 2&1/2 months) for a single month and I cant seem to find a cheaper options.

Is there any company that offers short-term insurance, or one that charges monthly and doesn't require a huge deposit?

    Any help is appreciated!

Another older thread there, ironically with the exact same thread title as this one.. :)

I think the poster of that thread may have been in slightly different circumstances to you, however.

I'm looking into something like this as well for myself but not having much luck.
Not even sure it exists in Ireland in fact.

Is there any way you could get added onto someone elses policy temporarily?

If you've a friend/family that has a low risk car (small engine etc) that you could borrow, they could add you as a named driver onto their policy without much of an increase onto their premium.

This would only really work if your friend/family was paying every month because they could take you off the policy the following month and their premium would go back down to what it was.

Probably work out at a few euro a day that you were on the policy (before you're removed by your friend/family).
