    Hey guys!

Hoping to get a bit of help here, am bridesmaid in a couple of months and am trying to organise the hen night at the mo....destination Limerick city for a night of madness!!

Have accommodation sorted & am pretty sure that Nancy's is the place to be followed by some dancing anywhere really - once there's music i think we'll enjoy it!

One thing we're struggling with is the where to venture for the early part of the evening...i.e. we intend to hit the town at 5/6pm or so....we're not pushed on the whole formal sit down meal thing - we'd be more leaning towards drinks & pub grub somewhere with a good early evening atmosphere where we can have the craic! have been looking up on the net but so far have come up with nada....if anyone has any idea's 4 me itd b much appreciated... :D it'll be a sat night early July...

    oh there'll b about 40 of us....

I hear Smokie Joes on O'Connel St is very popular and do many deals. You can even find them on Facebook.

Something very informal where, I imagine, hen nights wouldn't be looked down on or refused even.

You're nice and central to hit the town afterwards.

There is a place on o connel street think its called luigi malones that can cater for a big crowd, good mix of food & has a cocktail bar which would get the evening started. Or across the road La chocolate is good for groups for food and drink.

Few good places on o connel street but id book ahead for that number of people.

Nancy's or Flanery's are good big spots right next to each other. Icon is awfull but across the road from nancy's for a club to finish the night.

And abra after the club for a kebab !!!!

Luigi Malone's is terrible imo, same menu since the place opened up and the food is average at best. The only reason to go there imo is because it one of a very few places that could accommodate a group of 40 people for a meal.

luigies is lovely. has nice food reasonable price and has cocktails(really good ones).

problem is that hour of the evening is dead in town so a meal is prob best idea til about 9 when town gets busy. im sure if you say where 40 girls will be that evening alot of guys here will show up:D

I'm with Bazz on this one the food is average at best. I find Luigies Malones very overrated. Although for a group of 40 it might be a good venue.

I think Luigi's is way overrated and overpriced also but for the night that's in it it maybe a contender.

I don't think you will get any pub grub on a Sat evening so maybe Milano's could also be an option or Smokey Joe's (although on a personal level I don't like that place at all).

oh ya i change my answer lets go to Milanos:D

If you do go to Luigi Malones get the chicken wings for your main - faboulicious; followed by their toblerone cheese cake - devine :-) Have a great weekend...Limerick is a great city for the craic - ye'll have a ball.

Nancy's is excellent but it will be cramped on a saturday night....
Try a few other bars too around the place.... Some really good pubs around too.... Just a suggestion
