Hi, would anyone know of an "easy" course? My friend is organizing a game on Saturday and its my first time on a full course, I've been playing par 3 for years.

Also I've beed down the driving range with the driver so it is probably ti me I played but would love an easy course to start, was thinking Grange Castle might be forgiving?

    All suggestions appreciated!

    Stepaside

Huge fairways, only a 9 hole course though..

Grange Castle would be a fairly safe bet alright, its fairly wide & open, on many holes if you miss a fairway theres a chance you'll find another one. Has a few nice holes too so you won't feel like you are just hacking it around a field.

Swords Open is a largely flat, open course, cheap too.
Sillogue near the airport, pay n play.
Balheary Par 3 is a good bet for some full length par 3 instead of pitch and putt.
Grange castle is open but a good bit of water and long enough, might be a little tough for beginners.
Leopardstown is as open as you can get, and short, but usually busy.
Deer park in howth - par 3.

Dublin Mountain GC in Brittas is as easy as it gets IMO.

Leopardstown and the already mentioned Stepaside are other courses I'd recommend.

Doh, missed the "South" part. :)

One other I forgot, dublin city golf club up the bohernabreena road (I think). Its not exactly easy, some holes you could lose some balls on, but its fun and cheap.

Stepaside is not open yet as far as I know, and supposedly its going to have astroturf.
