What weight to aim for?

Now im not particularly self-conscious about my weight, if someone thinks im fat, calls me fat in public or whatever it doesn't effect me at all and i laugh. But ive been starting to wish for a better physique and lifestyle lately (could be my sub-conscious telling me i have been quite bad cause of my exams :() and i want to start changing me lifestyle bit by bit before the summer where i plan to straighten out all the kinks in my diet and get out doing proper exercise again.

Just wondering what, in your opinion, would be a good weight to aim for? Im currently 17 (and 9 months), 6'1 and just hovering around the 14 stone mark for a while, medium build afaik atm. I really have no idea if its a normal weight and i just carry it badly and i just need to get to the gym to tone up or if i need to lose a bit.

    Thanks for any replies =]

Good for you, nobody should be self conscience about their weight. But that's another thread/story/yawnfest.

So, at 17 (and a half!) if you're female you've probably stopped growing...or at least the majority of guys will be hoping so. If you are a guy, which more likely, then you've got a way to go vertically...maybe another 1-4 inches. Although I am male and think I stopped growing at or around 18 yo.

Anyway, IMO you should just take your exercise and have fun getting and staying fit. There's tons of stuff written about issues surrounding health/fitness/weight control, the bottom line is, and this is only my experience, if you can learn a little about nutrition and try to get a little bit fit, your body will answer your question for you. That is, you will naturally find your natural weight.
