That tv is a decent deal; alright at €440, wouldnt be a great set but it would be grand considering its a 37" set for €440...

They're definitely not as bad as they once were!

A useful bookmark is CatalogueCompare.com - those storage baskets are £14.99 in the UK so €19.99 is about fair.

Yeah.. cheers OP. I reserved the last one in Sligo too.

Not sure if i'll buy it as I read the actual storage baskets are quite small in height (only 5" or so in height.. as you can see indicated by the small bottle of milk in the photo above).

Argos are considered overpriced in the UK and WAY over priced in Ireland - even at these special reduced prices none of these items are a particular bargain.

I still say avoid and look in local stores for far better value.

Avoid Argos furniture like the plague, useless cheap tacky rubbish that falls apart in no time. Its true enough that if you buy cheap you buy twice.

Those baskets are crap got them yesterday they're bloody tiny and the baskets are made of cheap plastic. Not worth the money.

Argos IS overpriced. I got a threadmill in Argos Belfast for £219, it was €499 in Dublin.

Thanks for posting this, bought them during the week, but didn't open the box, they'll be going back tomorrow.

Also got the table but again haven't opened it:o Think it will be going back too, seemed a good idea at the time.

Edit-reviews not bad on the UK site, would appreciate any other feedback on the table.

Although it's true that Argos have silly prices on most of their goods these prices are alright, certainly for Ireland.

Of course the quality of these things is going to be rubbish, How much of a table and stools would you expect for €27?

I knew they would come, this is a bargain forum, not a discussion about how generally priced items are in a particular shop.

And by the way argos in the omni have some clearance tellys, don;t know if they have boxes or anything, probably ex display, even though I saw no sign of a new catalogue, for 20% off, there was a 32@ for under 300 squid there, and that's a bargain no matter what anyone says, a sony and all.

Please don't start talking about the quality of these TVs because they have been on all the time for a few months, because it has been discussed to death in previous threads, and we all know you get your warranty, so its not like thats gone missing.
