Obviously not everyone likes to post and just comes to read about what is going on here.

So let us know how often you visit the boxing forum irrespective of if you post or not.

Also what is you primary reason for coming here as opposed to other boxing forums.

    cheers

Are you setting up some competition vintage?

Only recently joined, but this place is the great place for info on the Irish boxers. Used to post a good bit on Borec forum but no more, I deleted my account. Alot of ignorant f**kers over there.
Everybody shares info about the free boxing streams here which is great:). On Boxrecforum they have banned posting info about boxing streams:mad: and even before that the info was never posted for all to see. People tended to PM the info to a select few:confused:
    Check a couple a times a day here when I have time:D

well to be fair they are only really covering their own arses because I am sure the TV channels give them heat.

That's true, they're probably been paid to stop their members sharing information. This place is too small to be picked up on the radar.

I still think you are being harsh on them hombre - its more like they are avoiding getting sued as opposed to receiving money to keep it off their site - or am I being naive?

My very first post on boards was in this forum, I tipped Dirrell to beat Abraham, good call eh:) Anyway this is one of the few sections I regularly post in, it's a great little forum, knowledgeable people, bit of banter, sure what more could you want? Certainly better than other other boxing forum I'm on, boxingforum.com, don't get me wrong, it's a good forum and all but..... it's run by a bunch of tools. The same core group of guys turn up in every other thread, drag it off topic and end up talking about either Mayweather vs Manny, or whether or not Joe Calzaghe was worth the hype. It was funny at first but it gets old pretty soon

Same as Walsh, anytime Im at a computer I check it out. Along with eastside, boxrec etc. I have a quick look at recent posts, if there is something of interest I'll drop a reply and check back in on it later. I would look at other sites first and if i want elaboration on something or to chat about it this is the first place i come. Especially for anythin to do with Irish boxing.
I enjoy the chat, craic, different opinions you get here and the knowledge a lot of guys have.

Once every two or three days to see if there's any craic.
Everyday of a week leading up to a big fight though, I'd say.

I check in once a day at least, but seeing as anytime I subscribe to a thread(by posting on it) I get an email sent to me and I check my email quite often, it means that I come here several times during the day if there has been replies to threads I have posted in.

Some days I won't look at Boards at all, but with such sound nice people about ;) , that is only the case about once a week/every two weeks.

When I originally joined Boards.ie I mainly posted in the soccer forum, and eventually branched out into other forums. There was no boxing forum till a few years ago, and there was very little posts on boxing in the Sports forum. We were told a forum for boxing wasn't required due to the lack of interest........how wrong they were.

Now I rarely even look at the soccer forum, and only venture into After Hours for short periods when I'm on Boards.ie and not on the boxing forum.

I like to think we've one of the best boxing community out there with our forum. Much less **** here than on most forums, only the Irish boxing thread on Eastside brings me more enjoyment reading a forum than this.

I check this forum most days but dont post that often because i'm only following boxing the last few years and my boxing knowledge is quite limited compared to some of the regular posters.

Id check in 3/4 times per week. Dont post all that often as i wouldnt know a lot about boxing outside of what i see on TV but i find this probably the most interesting forum on Boards. Definitely the first one i check on when i log in.

Used to come on here several times a day but i've been too busy recently. I usually end up just giving a quick scan over the thread titles cos i've so little time. I do the same for other forums.

Everyday and usually a few times a day i'd check for updates-this is a great forum and the users are the least trouble on boards that i am aware of and there is a proper community spirit on here.. unlike lots of other forums..

Rush Boxing club and Rush Martial Arts head coach.

I really believe the community spirit on here reflects the spirit and sense of community found in the sport we love [especially in the amateur ranks]
Which alot of the posters here have experienced and in turn has helped and is reflected in the standard of the forum that has been created here.

I check in and kind of lurk a few times a week but very rarely post for some reason! I always have opinions on whats going on but never post them strangely enough!!
I have to say though it is one of the best forums on Boards....its good craic, people know what they're talking about, and theres not as many childish arguments like on other forums. :)

Only a big fight fan sorry lads. Im a bug boxing fan but I dont follow it really closely like the rankings, or smaller matches. Ild watch all the big fights and read updates on certain boxers I like but not as much as I a fanatic.

Yeah , Most days I look in for 30 mins a time usually.
    About 4 or 5 times a week .

I been about for ages , used to be "Bernard Hopkins" , ODD-JOB , and now I'm wild dogger . (password problems) .

Anyway , I think the boxing forum will have a lot of lurkers , but not so many posters .

This forum is very composed and respectful in comparison to most boxing forums around the net .;)
You wont get your post shredded and slated by some fanboy of different opinions .

A good crowd in here I think

I started out like that but since the internet I really got into it. Checking out fights on youtube, rankings on boxrec and forums about, it makes following the sport so much easier and engaging. In fact, I wonder how fans could stay informed on the sport before the days of the interwebz.

If I am by a computer I'll pop in here fairly regularly. I enjoy the place, in fact, I kinda wish it would be a bit busier sometimes.

The Ring magazine was the only real outlet - permanently two months out of date and never really seeing any fights, that and SKY Sports Friday Fight NIght and of course ITV were more involved as well.

Yep ..... Years ago i followed the radio and tv when it was all free to air .
When Sky arrived that was it .
If you couldnt afford Sky you were completely shut out .....

the arrival of the internet and particularly youtube re-united a lot of fans and made many new fans to the sport .
Just a pity copyright laws limit coverage on the net
