    Hello,
I have just received a quote for *spray foam* insulation.

Has anyone got any experience with this?
    Is it certified and breathable?

    Regards,
    Eddie

I didn't go with the one you mentioned, but went with a competitor - soya based. (They are now certified for use in Ireland).
    PM for more advice!

Just wondering if it's for the space between your roof joists?

These companies tend to quote for the entire area of the roof...but shoudln't they exclude the area where the joists are...around 8%??

Only use a certified product & install it as per approved detail.
I have not had much dealing with spray foam but I have seen companies quoting to install uncertified products to roof areas with non breathable felt etc.
It appears some will install anywhere regardless of construction type as long as they get paid.

It passed the SBI Burn Test EN 13823 last february according to google

Ill ask the installer (who i found thru a self build exibition) for certs when i see him next, that was one big question that was raised by my builder and myself when selecting, and installation is conditional on him producing the certs

anyways im in no way affiliated or anything, just someone building a home :) and wanting a good airtight insulation in the attic since i be using it as home office
