Hi folks trying to price tiles and was wondering how do I work out how many I need.

Measure the size of the room in square metres. Most tiles will then be priced in square metres so just multiply. Add about 10% for breakages and offcuts

    Eg, your living room is 4.5m x 4.5m = 20.25 metres squared.

Add 10% to this to give 22.28 metres squared.

Your tile might be priced at €20 per square metre, giving a cost for the room of €446.

    Hope this is of help.

The amount of roof tiles is dependent not only on the area, but the slope of the roof also.
ring the supplier of the tiles directly, get top the technical dept and they will sort it all for you there and then.
