    Hey guys and girls,

i have a very simple question for you, what makes a good camping area for you?

I'm not talking about bringing a caravan or pitching a tent in a camping park, im talking about wild camping areas what are the essential things you look for before setting up camp?

I'd second that; away from midges. And not under a tree because of heavy rain drops falling from the brances onto the tent and eventually soaking through.

same as myself getting hard to find though im finding i have to go further and further from places well trodden to get this sort of place and rough it for a bit

and a massive plus 1 for the midges close to water and far enough away from it so the midges dont eat me alive

Any one any good spots in glenmalure? im thinking of hitting there next week
