    hi,
i have flights and accom booked for the heineken cup final weekend in paris 22nd/23rd may.
seen as i probably wont go to the match now i'm going to sell my tickets and go racing in or around paris (i'm also missing the guineas in the curragh:(,

the trouble is i'm finding it hard to get a fixture list of where the races will be on, or any info really that isnt in french.

i'd appreciate any help or info on racing in france.

A disgruntled Munster or Leinster fan I reckon !

Try Google "Horse racing Paris" and you should find lots.

There are actually six racecourses around the Paris area that are operated by France Galop and these are Auteuil, Chantilly, Deauville, Longchamp, Maisons-Laffitte and Saint-Cloud. Three of these are also training centres, and the French racing governing body also organises jumps races at Enghien Racecourse, which is also in the Paris area.

    good man,

the france-galop site is pretty good. there is racing in longchamp on the sunday so thats perfect.

the entry fees in france seem small, only 4euro, the crowds are supposed to be small too.

Longchamp is great , Was there last October for the ARC , Just be careful with Taxi's they could rob you blind getting to the course
