I was wondering does anyone know why you cant buy prizebonds using a credit card any more..Why in the name of god would they stop other forms of payment.

i was wondering would it be possible for me to just go to my local post office and use my credit card there to pay for the prizebonds.

I think the shops have to pay the commission on credit cards, about 2%, so if you bought a load of them and cashed them in they are down big time. This is why shops often will give a cash discount if you ask, but I think it is illegal for the shop to specifically infer they are avoiding CC fees.

You said "any more", did they used to sell them via CC? I'm surprised if they did.

I have never cashed in mine,,i was buying a few bond every month so i could spread out the numbers on the prizebonds..i would buy them via their online website...iv been doing it for a year now..yesterday i rang them about it,and they told me they stopped it a week ago and now they only accept visa debit and laser cards
