    Hi,

Does anyone know why insurance companies require a tenant to be employed before they will insure a house ?
Or know of any companies that do not have this clause ?

    thanks

Some companies enquire about the employment status of tenants. Some are not impressed by welfare recipients.

    Seems a bit harsh.
I mean especially in this day and age.
The tenant in question worked construction and like a lot of people in that industry is out of work.

Anyway the quote from the lender is really high so anyone know of a company who will quote in this situation ?

    thanks
