    Hi,

What position is one in if is a deposit was paid on a service and the service was withdrawn 8 months later (4 months before it was due)? e.g. deposit paid on a car for an event and the booking cancelled by the supplier.

    Thanks for any opinions given.

there are certain contractual obligations that both parties have imposed on them by virtue of the contract for service. It really all depends on key factors within the contract and the wording etc.

Obviously more factors are to be considered which I cant go into on here but depending on the value of the service etc and other personal matters, but you should speak to a civil law solicitor who will advise you from there

    best of luck with it
