    just wondering guys ,
    who are the wda?
    are they a self appointed body or govt. appointed?
    where do they get their authority from?
    what makes them so expert on deer stalking?
    did they come up with the idea of the hcap test themselves?
    :confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

    Authority to do what?
    I'm sure the WDA supports the HCAP but I don't think they have any say in it.
    Members of the WDA who might also be members of other organisations often help out at the shoots or theorie tests.

    From the Deer Alliance website:

    The Alliance comprises the four leading Irish deer organisations – The Irish deer Society, The Wild Deer Association of Ireland, Wicklow Deer Management & Conservation Group and the Wicklow Deer Society.

    They are 1 of 4 hunting organizations who are involved in the HCAP.

    I'm guessing anybody can start there society for deer. The North Leitrim , the south sligo, the east Donegal.

    Thes societies seem to be in large deer areas, Maybe that is the reason??
