What in your view is the best stockie lake in Ireland, taking into account

    1) the lake (is it a nice place to fish).
    2) the facilities.
    3) the quality and quantity of the fish.

Going to be a personal preference for most people.

Mine is Lough Fada, outside Sneem in Co. Kerry.

    Gorgeous settings, overlooking Kenmare bay.

I usually leave it with my bag limit and they are nice fish in the 1-2lb bracket and fairly free rising to the fly. They taste suburb too according to herself ( i dont eat fish ). It is a fisheries boards fishery so no facilities apart from a few picnic benches to have the lunch. Although close by, either Sneem or Kenmare are great spots for a pint after a hard days fishing !

Lough Aisling near Edenderry, excellent facilities and good qulity of fish. Annoying to fish at times as there are too many trees but the other points make up for it.
