Early Morning Workouts - What to Eat?

    Hi guys,

Started hitting the gym in the mornings before work twice a week. It's nice to be able to get it done and then actually have some free time in the evenings.

Just wondering what does everybody eat for breakfast before early morning workouts. I do weights work outs so I reckon I need to have something in the stomach to get me through it.

I generally have about an hour or less between breakfast and working out, so I have been avoiding carbs as they give me indigestion if I don't let em sit for around 2 hours before exercising. I have been eating a 3 egg omlettte with some ham hit that doesn't sit right always either. I really suffered with indigestion this morning (and I'm sure I cut a pretty picture belching my way through the bench press).

Any recommendations for something light and quick that will get me through a heavy work out (relative to current levels or fitness of course)? Is protein based foods enough or should I try and eat some crabs and deal with digestive problems as best I can?

Personally I feel I need some carbs before hitting the weights in the morning so I just have two slices of wholemeal toast with peanut butter and a glass of juice with creatine. Directly after the lifting I'd have a protein shake and as soon as I get home I'd eat a three egg omelette with veg.
