The GF put some empty tins in the dishwasher, the label paper came off and seems to have blocked the exit for the water. It didn't overflow thankfully but the water isn't draining.
    It's a ADP542.
I've tried to push a long piece of tubing around the drain holes but it seems to stop at some bend so I can't get it to the blockage.
    Suggestions?

Starting at the start. Dishwashers have a filter to stop large items (such as paper labels) getting beyond the bottom of the dishwasher. The likelyhood is that this filter is blocked. Have you checked it?

Yeah, I've removed the filter and checked everywhere inside the machine.
Also tried a proper drain wire but unfortunately it didn't work, just as the tubing..
Apparently the drain hose can get clogged according to google, will give that a try today.

Ok so removed the kick board at the bottom front and had a look under.
The drain hose pipe is situated at the front of the machinery so quite accessible. It has a hose clamp which was a bit awkward to get off but once that was done it was just a matter of pulling the hose off at one end and letting some water run out (have a towel handy) and then try and clean as much as you can inside the hose.
That done assemble everything again and run the dishwasher to check.

Make sure to get as much water as possible out of the dishwasher inside before you start, otherwise there'll be a big surprise waiting for you when you disconnect the hose ;)

Well done! I take it you found the blockage in the hose?

Well it's working now anyway :) There was some debris in there but not as much as I would have thought, perhaps just the action of working on the machine/hose unblocked whatever it was.

Saved 70 euro charge Des Kavangh Electrical quoted me just to come out :D
    Beer money!
