    Hi folks,
I have just started a job with a multinational after 14 months unemployed and i have a question with regards to my two daughters .
The girls Mother and myself have split and still talk etc but she works part time and gets FIS+ a medical card for herself and the girls.
As part of my package with my new employers i have been offered a VHI package which will cover myself and any dependents .

My question is ,can i place my daughters on the VHI scheme? or are they better off with the medical card. I want the best for my kids and i also prefer to provide it ie" not the state"
,any help will be greatly appreciated !
    barney.

Definately better off on VHI, the medical card isn't worth a shíte if you ask me. Great for a gp visit and medicine, but after that it's a joke.
