This is a badly needed upgrade in my opinion as the road has many dangers with traffic coming from the business estate across from Kiely's and from ALSAA. Also there are pedestrian on the road all the time, yet there is no pedestrian lights to get from the bus stop at ALSAA across the raod - the traffic lights up the road don't allow for pedestrian movements. ALSAA entrance proposed to be moved too.
The proposed development consists of approximately 1.3km of upgrade to the existing R132 between Collinstown Cross and the Airport Roundabout. The works involve upgrading the existing single carriageway road to a dual carriageway with bus lanes, cycleways, footpaths and grass verges.

Agreed, this stretch of road has been in a terrible state for donkey's years.

Would tidy up things a bit! :)

As the area is just outside the airport, and that not all visitors (to Ireland) going to and from there would be on the M1/M50 routes, I think it might be an idea to leave a better (first and last) impression of the country for those travelling via the R132 etc.

    Regards!

Plans listed here to upgrade the M1 to D3M between J2(Airport) & J3 (Drinan). Badly need IMHO

That's between Airport and Drinan, not Lissenhall. Might be all that's needed to free up the traffic, since the M50 free flows opened it's been a bit better.

Something very very urgent needs to be done Northbound - at rush hour through the M1/M50 and Airport interchanges it's got very slow with the crooked, ugly, potholed, botch-job new lane arrangement.
