    Hi,

My wife just bought a new iMac to work from home. I have an Eircom Netopia Router in the house and the signal has never given any problems. I log on with a samsung laptop and macbook and always pick up a signal right away.

The new iMac does pick up the router signal but keeps dropping it. Internet access is intermittend and whereas it always sees the Eircom network it will not log on or remember the connection...

any ideas how to solve this?

    thnsk,.

Happens with my sister's MacBook too. Then we changed to UPC broadband. Different router, everthing. Still happening. Though it only seems to happen to me at night.

MacBook is 4/5 years old though. Probably unrelated. Sorry I don't have a solution.

    Thanks for that.

I've been doing some digging on the Apple site in the forums (sic). It seems like its a problem a few people have with different routers. One members provided a host of solutions which i will try tonight...
