Long trip...advice please? N.Z./OZ/S.A.

    So im planning on going on an extended holiday sometime in 2011.

    I like to dive, surf, party, see amazing scenery, meet amazing people, and relax when I travel...

    For this trip im hoping to go S. America first followed by N.Z./OZ and the maybe Asia for a month or so at the end.

    Anyway for S.A. I think I will have around 4-5 months which im sure wont be enough time to see all the best places and I dont like to rush so il need to be selective about where I go. What is everyones opinion on S.A.? What are the must sees, must not see, budget requirements, safest/most dangerous places etc etc...

    After S.A. il be moving on to N.Z. or OZ (not sure which il do first) and I want to work in one of them, probably for about 4 months but il be moving around the country while I work (I think id prefer N.Z. but id like to hear from ppl who have worked in both)

    I would also like to do a road trip around Australia for 6 weeks or so...any advice on this? Could I buy a cheap car and sell it at the end? Is camping easy/cheap in OZ?

    After this il probably go to Asia for 6 weeks or so....ive been to Laos, Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia and Vietnam before so I might check out somewhere else this time...Id like to go back to Indo and Laos though so il see.

    Any advice on flights too? Where can I get the best deals on multi city flights?

    Anyway thanks in advance for any suggestions...I know im being a little vague with my questions but im only starting my planning!

    Some amount of questions there!! You might be better off asking one or two at a time. I'll help as best I can though.

    South America is quite simply the best place on Earth in my opinion and in many others too. The list of must see's is endless. The must not's? I cant think of any.
