That's my parking

Some years ago I sold a house with seperate parking to the rear. The parking is seperated from the house, by a lane-way which is public property. I have a gate at the rear of my new property, and have retained a 'Right of Way' across the parking lot. Can I place a 'Do not Block Gate" sign on my gate? A tenant in the old property is very abusive about 'her parking space', even though there is space for two cars. Any opinion on this would be most welcome.
