Hey, I rarely bet, the odd time i do i but a fairly big bet on.

I saw on the internet for william hill that the price of under 2.5 goals in the spurs game was 6/4 So i went to my local shop and put 65 euro at 6/4. There was only one goal so when i went to the shop they said that they werent doing odds on under 2.5 goals, only under 2 goals, and then asked me if there was under 2 goals which i said yeah. They said ok well give it to you cos of that.

Should i be happy they paid me at 6/4 seeing as i put the wrong information in or should i have tried kick up a fuss and have tried to get them to give me the odds at under 2 goals which i pressume would have been at least 4/1 seeinng as they said they are only gonna pay cos there were under 2 goals. I'm not usually the kind to kick up a fuss, just wondering what everyone else would have done. Are they supposed to check the selection is correct when they take the bet?
    Well at least i won:D

Firstly, I find it very strange that they said they weren't offering an under 2.5 market:confused:

Secondly, if they tried to do you by saying it was under 2 goals then yeah you should have demanded the 4/1!

There's no way they weren't offering 2.5 goals.
I'd say the person behind the counter didn't understand how there could
    be .5 of a goal! :o
All bookies offer the over/under market using 2.5 goals as the yard stick for most matches especially as they go 10/11 pick 'em (or 5/6 if you're with a mean bookie).
As Spurs were a 2/7 shot the under goals would have have been a higher price as Spurs would have been expected to wallop them.
Under 2 goals is either no goals (0-0 minimum 8/1 shot) or 1 goal and the odds as said already should have been around 4's.
Go back to them and ask them to explain what they are talking about and if needs be stick it up here, we'll have a look for you.

it is true though about william hill

i was in there recently and enquired about under 2.5 in a game
and was told they didnt do that bet
the only option i had which was similar was under 2 goals so
    i left in disgust.

You should've got around 4/1 tho on under 2 goals

    wh a ****e bookie imo

    Your lucky to get anything!

The rules read "bet taken in error is a bet void"

By rule all you should have goy is your money back!

That makes me feel a bit better, it's only because she said well give it to you because there was under 2 goals that i was thinking then maybe they should pay out at that price , im glad there was'nt another goal now.

I don't think ill bother going back to them to complain, i'm rubbish at complaining anyway, i'm actually chuffed with the 100 euro cos im broke.

the fact they paid u they must of put it into the system as under 2 goals so if there had of been 2 goals its quite possible they would'nt of given u ur stake back or without a struggle.
if they paid u out under 2 then they should of paid u the right price or refunded the bet.
go back in u have nothing to lose.

this is what u say when u go in.
HI I BACKED UNDER 2 GOALS IN THE SPURS MATCH YESTERDAY BUT I DONT THINK I GOT PAID AT THE CORRECT PRICE.WOULD U MIND CHECKING WHAT PRICE IT WAS

    except dont shout
