Reconnected a grundig freesat SD box a few days ago that had been stored for about a year.

It works OK but as a result of not being in use for a while the software version is out of date. Left it in standby for the last few nights but no upgrade to the current software version has occured. I'm puzzled by this as I thought that these boxes are programmed to check that they are up to date when they are in standby.

As far as I know you can't force the upgrade so I'm a bit concerned I'll be stuck with this software version.
