lymecycline & depression

    Hi all,

I've recently started on a course of lymecyline (tetralysal) for adult acne. Since beginning taking the antibiotic I've noticed a massive dip in my mood and suicidal thoughts.

I've also recently begun some cognitive therapy, and it's going well. And while I know it seems obvious that the depression may be linked to this (you can't clean a room without raising some dust) I feel genuinely positive about the sessions.

So my question is, has anyone taken this medication and has it had a similar effect? There's nothing about it in the literature, and very little online, but (as deluded as this might sound) I don't think I can afford to rule it out just at this time...

    Thanks
