    Hi ,
I am doing a 10km run in Clonmel on the 9th May,you would say so .I am running to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis .I hope to raise about €1000 , but i will be wearing a Superman costume.

I have been training to get my body used to the heat going out in a tracksuit and four layers of clothes just to get used to the affect the heat will have on my body and how much it will slow me up. My question would be is there any tips you could give me to get through this tough challenge ??

Oh yeah the day i ran with the extra layers i was 2.5 kilos lighter after the run which lasted an hour.

Any help or tips would be great thanks.

Don't go off too fast, drink plenty, but not so much you have an issue with your underwear being on the outside of your trousers, and be glad your not wearing a rhino costume.

The people that they were stopping and chatting to during London in daft costumes didn't seem to have done much in the way of training with them when asked, but it's easier to go out and train in a couple more layers than it is in some of the outfits you see. Is it actually that thick a costume though? Might want to lube up before hand as well in case of chafing, I presume there will be dodgy stitching on the inside of the costume so check that isn't anywhere that might cause problems.

thanks for the advice i will wear my tri suit under the costume the chest is moulded so it will be warm and awkard.
I was thinking of putting a few slits in the chest plate to let air in.
