BTEA to JSA for the summer.

Hi all,

I am on btea and got a letter from my local office this morning about switching back to jsa for the summer. The letter says to attend the office on 18/6/10 but my course ends on 18/5/10.

I've been trying to get in touch with the office all morning but they are not answering phones.

Would this be right? I'll have no income for a month after college ends?

Fair enough if this is the way it works, at least I know in advance, I was under the impression that it switched back automatically from btea when the college semester ends and you have to switch back in September if you're progressing to the next year.

Would I be better off going in to make sure it wasn't a mistake with the date (putting down 6 instead of 5)

Would appreciate advice from anyone else currently on BTEA

SWLO's will contact, in March/April of each year, BTEA participants who were previously in receipt of an unemployment payment to determine their intentions for the new academic year. Participants will also be requested to supply the date of last attendance for the current academic year. Payment of the allowance will continue to this date.
