Can anyone recommend a volkswagen dealer on dublins southside? Theres not that many of them but if anyone has had any dealings with any i would appreciate if they could could post the experience and if it was good/bad.

The girlfriend is looking at getting a brand new golf and trading in an 07 fiesta. Shes only been offered 4k for the fiesta  and the prices quoted to her have all been about 1500 more than the irish volkswagen website. She's feeling a bit miffed so if anyone could point out who to steer clear of or who would be a better dealer please let us know

    thanks!

Slightly further out, but I've had good experiences with Sheehy's in Naas: http://www.sheehymotors.ie/

Have always found O'Learys of Wexford ok to deal with . Have bought 6 golfs in the last 10 years there. Always found that the loyalty I show them is returned. Is she buying a diesel - if so i find the new 1.6 tdi fantastic for economy

Could be well worth the drive down

Grange Motors in Deansgrange is just down the road from me. I've test driven a couple of cars with them and they were always decent to deal with. Priced up trading in a Golf for a Scirocco last year and they ended up offering a reasonable cost of change, but due to other circumstances I didn't end up doing the deal so I don't know what they are like once you buy I'm afraid.

We had an 07 Golf from Belgard but think they're not around anymore.

I'd steer clear of any of the MSL dealerships - I've struggled to deal with them even for servicing needs.

I source all my VW's from Fosters, and put a bit of servicing work their way too. I've had nothing but good experiences with them.
