Treadmill - burning smell........

Got a new treadmill last year. It's a proform 3.6 and is a pretty good machine (I think), except that after use there is a terrible burning smell left in the room that lingers until the next day. I have had a technician out to check it and could find anything wrong. He was very thorough and replaced the motor, tightened the belt and lubricated it, but the problem still persists. It functions perfectly but the smell is very bad. Has anyone had a similar problem or have any possible solutions?????????

Any advice on how to solve this would be great.

It's the smell of fag miles.

Have you fed and watered the hamster that lives inside the Treadmill and moves the belt along?

    moved to ART.

OP, did the techie get the smell? I'd get a second opinion maybe? Or can you ventilate the room a bit better? We have a spinning bike in the living room and if either of us cycles without the window open the smell is neither good nor middling!

everyone else Can we have some sensible advice alongside the smart comments please.
