Hey folks - hope someone here can help out the OP.

Adult or child, the condition is pretty similar and treated pretty much the same way so your experiences will help.

    Hey...

If its the blood disorder then my mother has it (46) and my grandmother (67) was recently diagnosed with it. I can't say I know alot about it and there isn't much information in Ireland.

From what I have seen its all about controlling the platelets, not over exerting yourself etc. My mother has an aggressive form of it where she does get tired easily and depending on the level of platelets bruises can appear easily! Although it doesn't restrict her life in too many ways she does get tired which has an effect....but again I emphasize she has an aggressive form!

In terms of the Nan...she is flying it! Bruises started appearing last year and she was diagnosed with it. Has better platelet levels than the mother and wouldn't think she is 67.

Hope this helps you some bit even though your dealing with a child and I just told you about a middle aged woman and pensioner!!!! :pac:

    All the Best
