Our work post doesn't leave until half five every evening and people around Ireland often have their letter/item the next day.

Courier would rip you off, swift post if you can.

Although, I think the cut off for that is 4pm.

If you swift post first thing in the morning will it get there the same day ?

Why are you wasting time posting on the internet if you're in such a hurry? ring them up.

    No.

    How urgent is it?

    Try Fastway.ie

    They go to Galway.

I'm heading to Dublin tomorrow if you want to give me the diamonds job application to bring down to Galway.

I actually am heading down though so if you're anywhere near Templeogue/Knocklyon, and your package is going to Galway City, I'll bring it.

Aw man, youve no idea what a massive favor that would be. I would pay you the same rate as a courier. I cant seem to get through to any of them.

    Never trust Swiftpost.

I'm almost sure by paying the extra money you're just attracting attention to the package/letter thereby increasing the chances that An Post will mislay it.

Twice I've sent packages by Swiftpost which didn't arrive for three weeks.

It seems Kraggy wont make it down to Galway city by 5pm tomorrow. If anyone else is driving down from Dublin you would be doing me a massive favor by delivering an envelope for me. I would gladly throw a few quid your way. Its a long shot but Im desperate.

    :(

    Fax it.

    Email it.

If that's no good, you could resort to carrier pigeons.

I'll give that a go, thanks.

Its the postgraduate applications center. I doubt they would let me fax my application. Although it would be seriously handy if they did. Retarded that you have to post stuff to Galway when applying to DCU.

Scan and e-mail it like suggested, but attach an explanation to your e-mail. Tell them hard copy will follow on Monday. Might work?

Its a post graduate application form for a masters; personal statement and article. Around 5 or 6 pages in total. I was given incorrect information. Thought I could apply online through pac and drop the stuff into DCU. But it turns out the application stuff needs to be posted to Galway by tomorrow. The DCU website is really poor. There isnt a mention of that on it, which is quite frustrating.

    Good idea. Might do that.

[edit] Actually, just realized - I could scan it, email it to someone in Galway and get them to hand it in. Wonder do I know anyone in Galway. Hrm.

Smoke signals could be an option.
And with Mt Eisybyjaguureeidenbosenbingen in Iceland acting the way it is, if you come across a particular big flame retardant tarpaulin, you could really make your point known.
