    hi all,

is it just me or does there seem to be a lack of study spaces available now?
i've been to the library today but was jam-packed so left. went to the IT building but all the classrooms were locked . WTF?
i went to the concourse yesterday but they were all locked as well.

is there any good place to study? the only time i'm able to get a place in the library is 2.30 when loads go off for their exams.

it seems a bit of a disgrace that classrooms are locked during exam time

library is a bit of a pain alright. Iv always managed to get a space, but i arrive at 9 so that i can get one. I know moyola is open so you can go to the comp suite there or else up to the coffee dock, i have friends who study up there. apparently its normally quiet and easy to study in

+1 on the cairnes building, always an easy enough place to get a spot and i think they all have plugs aswell.

The short stay zone is a handy place to go in the library until people start to filter out (usually around 4.30-5.00 people start to leave). Beware though, the girl beside me got up to go the the bathroom and less than ten seconds after she got up, a staffer came up and packed away all her stuff into her bag, folded down the laptop screen and threw it all on to the shelves beside the desks.
