Hi, I recently just bought an item from UK and he said he dispatched(27-4-10) through global value. I just want to know roughly how long it takes to reach here, so that I can stay home and wait for the parcel. Many thanks

I would guess that it would arrive on Tuesday. Did he get a tracking number that you could track it?

Normally I find its about 4 working days but can be as long as 10 so you can't plan your life around waiting in for it.

This gets asked alot maybe we should have a delivery FAQ?

No, parcelforce global value doesn't offer online tracking. I hope it comes earlier :D

4 days sound reasonable, but 10 days is far too long ! thanks for the info !

Forgot to mention bank holidays often screw the timings up by far more than one day, probably because bank holidays start on a Friday night lunchtime.

parcelforce sometimes use GLS to deliver items here, And we all know how useless GLS are so hope and pray that the post man brings it and not GLS

Hi lads, I just found out parcelforce passed the parcel to GLS for delivery. And apparently it comes with a tracking number. According to the tracking it arrived Dublin on last friday, and now it all depends on how long it takes GLS to deliver to my house.

GLS didnt come today, according to the tracking, they went to the wrong address. Should i be surprise with their service or is it just too common ?

All these delivery drivers work under extreme pressure, so if it was going to take the driver say an extra 20 minutes to deliver to your address (espescially if it was a bit off his normal route) its quicker for him to fill out an address not found or customer not in form and not bother with you. It shouldn't work tha way but down to managment "who couldn't organise a" ... well you know what I mean ;)

You should not be at all surprised, as this is all too common with GLS.

They won't ring you, of that you can be almost positive. With GLS, it could arrive any time between now and eternity.

geez. i think i would like to collect it rather than depending on these people. since i dont have a car which bus route is the most convenient route to the warehouse ?
