hi guys, i'm starting a new job in 2 weeks in which i'll be traveling 80 miles a day 5 days a week, 40 miles up and 40 miles back on the motorway, i have a small petrol car at the moment but that seems to drink fuel when traveling on the motorway, i was looking at the berlingo, i was told the 1.6 is best on fuel but they seems hard to find, how is the 1.9 on fuel and the kinda driving i'll be doing? also was looking at the 1.5 renault kangoo or the 1.5 nissan kubistar.. are either of these any good? and how would the 1.5 engine be over the long distances on fuel? i have a budget of around 3.5k and could push to 4k.. so would be looking a t an 04' model or so i presume

any help is appreciated!.. i know f all about vans

If you are going to be running it in to the ground

Will have a very good service history so should last a while longer.

if you don't need a big van for carrying stuff you could have a look at the clio 1.5 diesel they are very light on juice

i will say i have a doblo at the minute and that is very good aswell they have have a 1.3 diesel engine and you'd get maybe a 05 or 06 for 3500 i'd say and they are very confidable more so than the kangoo i had one of them before i just thought was a dogbox on wheels and my mate has a belingo and i have driven it a good few time all i say i didn't like it at all

i think you could get a nice little fiesta for that type of money new model and they have a 1.4 tdci engine

not running it into the ground exactly.. it'll just be driving on the motorway.. once i get to work i wont be using it again until i drive home.. so it wont be used much in an urban environment as in the clutch wont be gettin abuse

are the renault kangoos good for what i will be doing?

i wont be carrying anything in the back really.. just was looking at a van cause it would work out a lot cheaper for me in terms of insurance etc
