Anyone else looking forward to this? Cube is one of my fave rappers, could bang The War Disc all day long!

This sounds promising as its being released on the independant label Lench Mob records but the state of hip hop today, I won't be holding my breath.

Would love a good banging west coast album again.

Looking forward to this myself, was just listening to Lethal Injection earlier today. The first single is nothing special IMO but I think the album has the potential to be great.

Lethal Injection is some album man, When Ghetto Bird comes on in the car, I have to turn on super bass (if not on already), put down the window and throw up the W to bystanders

LOL definitely one of my favorite Cube songs, one of the best West Coast tracks ever.

i always look forward to the new Cube albums, but they always disappoint me, i thought Raw Footage was garbage, simple beats and really really simple rhymes.
I hoped that I Am The West was going to get Cube back on track, but after listening to the first song leaked from it, i'm not so sure.

I thought Raw Footage was actually alright. Well, it had a couple of nice tracks so it wasn't completely throw away. I'm not saying I'm looking forward to this album but I'll definitely check it out.

ye i enjoyed raw footage too, my standout tracks were "why me" and "dont make me hurt ya feelings" ,cube talks a lot of sense as he always seems to do to be honest.

one of those rappers who just raps about real things and not constant cars and bling etc..

im really looking foward to it, the whole cube vs the new west has added to it in my opinion.. and cube really brings that westside sound to any track he jumps on.

hands down cube is the best west coast rapper and one of the greatest of all time.

i think i am the west song is very weak. he needs to do something different, my fave record was his first amerikkkas most wanted.
rappers like cube need to be more hardcore and stop usinf rnb singers all the time. need more rebel musik. like p.e la coka nostra, krs 1, immortal technique.

I think Ice Cube has moved on from being solely hardcore.

Ice Cube is one of my favorite rappers but I don't care for his albums after the War & Peace ones which aren't even that great either so I'll not be checking this out. Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It was a great song though.

Just saw this on youtube, live version of one of the tunes on his upcoming album I am the West. Not the best quality but track sounds banging!!

    Fire!!

"I ain't the doctor / This ain't the patient / This ain't that n**** always on vacation / This ain't no white boy's rehabilitation / This is crazier then a boatful of Haitians."

in work at the mo, will give it a listen later but reviews so far on forums are canning it, not looking too good and the majority agree that new single with his son is garbage.

FFS YOU CANNOT POST OR ASK FOR ****ING ALBUM LINKS.

    Pain in the ass.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,030 ✭✭✭✭Zero-Cool

woops sorry, knew there was a reason I didn't post it in the first place!

on topic, so let down with the album. I really really thought Cube would bring the West Coast back but album is just full of mediocre beats and really weak lyrics. Just makes me feel like listening to The War Disk, Death Certificate & Lethal Injection!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,503 ✭✭✭Makaveli

Yeah it's pretty bad. Couple of alright tracks but most of them are crap. Don't think I'll be revisiting this very often.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,970 ✭✭✭mufcboy1999

From 94 - 2000 I used to listen to Cube all the time. Wasn't feeling War and Peace much but deffo liking the new (old) sound of (most of) this album.
