Have we seen the last of Hendry?

Selby has just run out a 13-5 winner over Hendry. I have a feeling that Hendry might be seriously thinking about retiring from the game. Not just because of this loss but his performances over the last couple of seasons have been well below his high standards he sets himself.
I heard him say he was considering it when he was 9-7 down in his previous match but when he won the last three frames playing excellent snooker he soon forgot about that.
But losing 13-5 and not really competing in the second and third sessions against Selby will give him a lot to think about.

He really has nothing to prove to himself or anyone else, his ranking victory haul, century break count and mostly his seven world titles will never be beaten.

He's a family man now, he certainly has his money made and owes nothing to the game.

I hope i'm wrong, anyone got any thoughts on this??

It would be a pity if he were to go, but then he's the best judge of that. I have the utmost admiration for him, and, as you say , he owes snooker nothing. But I would hate to see him miss out on the promised revolution ( a la Barry Hearn) thats about to happen in World Snooker.

Write off stephen hendry at your peril, on a given day he could still turn it on and i think he still has a tournament win or two in him.

Perhaps what john higgins said a while ago about stephen just practicing on his own and not with other top pros is not helping him. He appears to have gone into his shell like that.
