    hi folks,

    just a quick question , when i unlock my car the windows will drop after a sec or two all the time. its like the same as if you hold the top of the key. is there a switch in the door barrel also that might be stuck , i heard you could do the same function from the door with the key .

    any one have any ideas ?

    this function is usually a feature of the remote. maybe the receiver or something similar is jammed and your key needs to be recoded to work properly.

    similarily if you hold your finger on the lock button it will close the windows.

    yeah i thought that so i programmed bought keys again ( within 30 secs etc ) and it happens with the two of them .

    the door barrel doesnt work though . i dont know why , i am thinking there is a switch of somethign in there stuck that causes them to drop.

    i dont know but its annoying

    I'm in the exact same boat - disaster!!

    Only the drivers door opens and when I close the door it closes again :confused:

    lol i know its a joke. my plan is change the two batteries in the keys using the youtube video .

    i bought two batteries in maplins 2025 type coin cell. bought two holders on ebay so it elimates the spot welding and merge the setup into the key. prob solder the wires on the board of the key. then i know the keys are good for the future etc.

    next my barrel lock is knackered me thinks. i read on realoem that there is a magnetic switch in the barrel some where that if you hold the key to the left for two secs when the doors are open it does the same as holding the open button on the remote. i cant even lock the car by key its not engaging.

    i have no idea after that lol
