Does anyone know what the story is with this.

A friend of mine had €20 on Hurricane Fly last week on the special megabet coupon. It stated if you take SP on one of its "Mega-races" they would add 2 points to your selection if it won. HC won at 3-1 but he only received back €90 when he thought it would be €120 (5-1). Anyone know anything about this?

3/1 up one point is 10/3 up 2 points 7/2 then 4/1 9/2 5/1 etc
If it was 25/1 it would have went up to 50/1 though in 2 points as it would go 25/1 33/1 50/1, I think could be wrong there could be 40/1?

Heard aboug a guy who backed a horse in the Ladbrokes Mega race which happened to be Hurricane Fly in their own sponsored race.
He didn't write the bet on a mega bet docket and when he went to collect they only paid him at 3/1 and not 7/2.
He complained and they said no way so he's going to Punters Platform in the Star

i got my wires crossed also thinking i was going to get 9/2 on quevega
when the sp was 5/2 when in fact i got 3/1 (which was the early price anyway)
i was shocked and amazed when someone told me lads were
offering two points extra...whereas it was 2 prices up unless
you back a 10/1 winner then you get two prices/points up...12s

Ladbrokes were very misleading over this offer.

First off you needed to place the bet on the Megabet slip to get the 2 extra prices.

More importantly this offer was advertised on screen sayng if your horse wins at 12-1, they will add 2 extra points to the SP (providing u took SP) which would make it 14-1. It was not visible on the screen that they were adding 2 extra "prices". They probably had a * beside it saying T & C's apply but that is misleading. The screen said it would add 2 extra "points". It is basically a cheap trick by Ladbrokes.

One possible reason is guaranteed prices are costing them a fortune so they are trying to make people back at SP and hope that the 2 tics isn't as costly as GP.
