Thanks Up In Class. Not too much of a market here for the US racing but I like to keep an eye on it from time to time. pity about the favorite Eskandery (?) getting injured. He ran a blinder the other day, smashing a decent field.

I dont think I remember ever seeing him ride. Talamo I mean.

Im a Velasquez fan. I think he and Pletcher are due a win.
Devil May care looks a decent shot.
    €5 at 12/1.

Talamo is a very talented rider, but has had some attitude problems..
Bit like a younger Kieran Fallon.. Valasequez, Talamo and Gomez are the best riders in america imo.

Here are the post positions and the number of wins since 1900:

    1 12
    2 9
    3 8
    4 10
    5 12
    6 6
    7 8
    8 10
    9 4
    10 10
    11 3
    12 3
    13 4
    14 2
    15 3
    16 3
    17 0
    18 1
    19 0
    20 2

Post #1 hasn't hit the board in 22 years.

Since 1900 there have been 15 fields with 20 or more runners .
So strike rate for post #20 is 13%, which is better than the 11% strike rate for post #1.

TBH I had heard of Velasquez before I watched any American racing. As for the best in America, I wouldnt have a clue. I just know that some of them get the best horses. I know Leparoux has a good relationship with a very good agent at Turfway, but he looks a great rider.

On that note, Borel is a cúnt
It's Mark Johnston commentating again is it?
