I don't know what they do work with, but I know they don't work with Motorola single pin connectors. I never got them to work with my headset, although I had been told they were compatible. I ended up buying a pair of Motorola XTR446s and the headset worked fine with them, so I know it wasn't the problem.

I have this feeling someone posted recently that it's to do with two wires being the other way around, which'd mean you can do a quick re-wire of either the radio socket or the headset plug. Have a search about to see if you can find that post, and determine if it's related to your kit.

The motorolla single ping headsets are the wired the opposite way to the cheaper radios, i gave a motorolla headset to a guy who had a binatone radio and he reversed the cables succesfully and it works fine

Rather then starting a new topic I'd like to ask for some advice (if its ok with the OP)

Whats a good radio and headset to use? Im looking for as cheap as possible but still decent.
