    Interesting to note that in the race that Gay ran 44.89, Calvin Smith ran 44.81. His father, also Calvin, ran sub 10 and sub 20 on the same day in 1983. Calvin junior is very unlikely to ever hold the family records for 100m or 200m!

    Gay's in great shape for the summer. Bolt looks in great shape, too, judging by his relay anchor at the Penn Relays.

    In what way does Bolt benefit from Jamaica's inability to properly test their athletes? If a federation doesn't test its athletes then WADA puts more emphasis on that country to compensate for this. The ones with the potential to benefit are the mediocre ones that aren't good enough for WADA to bother with. The USA has a track record of cheats and cover-ups.
