    Hi

Just wondering is there a special plan for using an Iphone on Pre Pay especially for browsing. I know there is the 99c for a day which will be fine but i,m wondering would it be much slower than using my ipod touch on my house wi fi?

    Thanks

3G is definitely slower than wifi but it's more than fast enough for general use. I could get 300KB/s with three's 3g when downloading apps from cydia.

    Hi,

3G speeds are generally OK. It won't match up to your WiFi speeds. Also, coverage can be patchy, and if you're using it while on the bus or the train you can get spots of great performance and it could just as easily drop out on you.

The o2 price is 99c for 50MB a day, with a charge of 2c per KB afterwards (which, if my sums are correct works out at about €20.48 per MB ... Maths was never a stong point, so I am open to correction).

It's OK for checking your e-mail occassionally and doing some browsing - not good for streaming audio, VoIP or such applications. You really get hit hard if you go over the 50MB/day.

I think Vodafone offer similar pricing ...
