hey guys, just set up a new account online on PP.
Never gambled online before, and just was messing around on it and clicked withdrawals.
ill probably be putting money in by visiting the shops, and dont have a bank account set up. will i have to set a bank account up to withdraw money if i win?

sorry if this is a silly question, just need to know
    :)

Surely setting up a bank account is the best option here. Why have an online account if you have to go to the bookies to put money in your account? May aswell just put the bets on in the shop. Word of warning though. Online betting is addictive and you will spend more than you would have when you were just going to the bookies

Hmmm interesting.Whats the card,is it similar to Ladbrokes odds on card? Always thought PP should have followed suit quicker with the points scheme

dunno what the ladbrokes cards are like but its basically a card linked to the account and just bring it in when ya want to withdraw rather than waiting a week for it to go into the bank..taught they'd have done this much sooner though aswell

Good point and its alot more hassle going to the bookies than betting online so your more inclined to have a few sneaky bets in work just to pass the day. Set a limit and do your best to stick to it.

    thanks guys
paddy power is about 30 mins away from me, just handy for when i am at college,
by using that paddy power card system i can put in and take out when i want yeah?
so if i put in 20, that's all i can lose in my account, because i wont have a bank account set up?

I feel the opposite now, I used to bet online and would end up betting on stupid live bets. And when I won would be inclined to bet it all back on. When it sits in the account I feel it's only a number but now I only bet in the shops and having the cash in my hand I can make more sensible bets, but that's just me.

yeah i often do the same out of bordom.. backing south american football and the likes.. quick way to the poor house imo..you need to be disciplined and have an edge to make gambling/trading pay long term

ill just stick 10-20 into it every week or 2. Wont really be at it much over the summer, just World Cup, because i won't be in Letterkenny much.
it's just in case i really can't get into town to bet, and for the odd game of poker.

I've been thinking of setting up an online account myself. Is Paddy Power the best option or does it really make a difference?

If you are setting up an online gambling account I would advise you to not make transfers straight from your bank account to the your gambling account. It will effect your credit rating no matter how small the transactions are. Use paypal or moneybookers or something similar.
