In fairness, comparing ANY game visually to Uncharted 2 is unfair, that is probably the best looking game on any console, imo.

    Can't comment on BBC2, as I haven't played it.

Yeah I got it there last week. I remember when it first came out on the 360, I was majorly jealous of it being on the 360 and not the ps3.

I think visually it looks pretty good, nowhere near as good as Uncharted 2, but still pretty good.

Gameplay-wise and story-wise though, its very uninspiring, and I haven't nearly played it as much as I would normally my new games. I have heard though that "The Lost and the Damned" is piss poor in comparison to "The Ballad of Gay Tony" so I'll reserve final judgement until I've had a go at both.

Even still, I have to say, I'm a lot less impressed than I thought I would be.

Yeah after playing Uncharted and even other open world games like Saboteur, going back to the GTA world felt really clunky and awkward at first but after a couple of missions into TLAD I was loving it, I'm probably about halfway through TLAD now and its much more entertaining and exciting than GTA IV IMHO.

Really looking forward to the rest of the game and then getting onto TBOGT. Also love how the storylines and missions crossover. Great stuff, just give it a bit of time to get used to the world again.

I think with the success of games like Uncharted, Assassins Creed and others, the "bar" of gameplay and storywriting has been raised quite high, and when you go back to GTA, although it can be engaging at times, after playing said games you realise GTA is one big "Drive from A -> B, kill people, lose cops, repeat" job, with very little variation.

I've read in reviews and would agree with the view that storyline wise (TLATD anyway, as I havent played TBGT) its quite monotonous, not everyone likes bikes, and the characters are wholly unlikeable. Johnny Klebitz is a díck, but not even one you can somewhat get behind and like, and from this you get no sense of wanting to further the story.

Tbgt is not half as monotonous imo. Tlad was terrible though. Poor storyline, hate the bikes, hate the characters... I really enjoyed ballad of gay tony though.

Was enjoying it a little bit but got to one of those missions where it takes ages to get to the mission start location and ages to drive to the next location to collect some drugs and then ages to get to a 3rd location where you are attacked by the cops and you have to fight your way out. Got killed and ended up miles away at a hospital. And it takes ages to get back to start it all over again.

I have now left it sitting on the shelf beside GTA4 suffering from the same problem.
