    Hey folks

Just wondering if caught driving a vehicle with no tax who is meant to be fined?

The person driving at the time or the registered owner?

I asked over in the Motoring forum but I am really looking for the legislation on it

I think there is a fine for both. The driver will usually be the one fined if the car is stopped on the road and the owner will be fined if it is parked in a public place. Also the car can be seized from you if its over 2 months out of tax.

Both owner and driver can be prosecuted.

You also leave your self liable to have your car seized if the tax is out more than two months
