Got one of these today and absolutely love, did the following:
    • Made sure battery was charged and it is.
    • Loaded Box max with approx 2500 rounds, box states it can hold up to 2500.
    • Attached red dot sight.
    • Attached box mag while also connecting wires and BB tube.
    • Took it out for some test firing and no BB's discharged.
Have read manual again and again, the box mag has 3 settings "Auto" / "Off" and "Sound Control" i don't know what this means.

I am pretty sure it is something really simple so please excuse my stupidity but i am new to air soft.

    Thanks,

    Abram

"Auto" means it's self-winding all the time, magazine's motor constantly running. "Sound Control" is a feature whereby a little microphone beside the BB out-hole that fits into the magazine port on the gun listens for it being fired, and winds the magazine only when it's being used. You didn't mention putting batteries in the magazine; it takes two AAs.

You didn't mention what brand you bought, but the A&K ones are known to have a few problems out of the box, particularly with the hop-up. This excellent review will tell you what you need to know, and solutions to the problems too.

    what shane said. :)

Are you getting any sound from the box mag at all from any of the switch settings?

Batteries! I'm a disaster! I assumed since the box was wired into the gun it tooks its power from there.

Fantastic gun, really like it. Just working on the hop now and lining up the red dot sigth.

    Thanks for your help.
