Morrisson visas

    Hi,

Is anybody familiar with the Morrisson visa program where many Irish people were awarded visas in a lottery system in the 1990's. I got one of those visas in 1994 but only visited the U.S. on holidays and never did work there as circumstances changed at home. I'm embarassed about this as I do realise how many people seek visas. At this stage I presume the Green Card is long expired. Does anybody know if I were to travel to the U.S. would I be able to just apply under the normal holiday visa scheme? I reckon there must be many Irish people who got these but did'nt stay long term in the states and I'm wondering what there experience was when they went to visit the states again years later on hols. Any advice on this greatly appreciated.

I also got the morrison visa in 1994 but lived and worked there for 3 years,it was only valid for 10 yrs. Now im regreting not applying for citizenship, have been in and out a few times since just as a tourist but the last time i was asked to either surrender my visa or re-apply again! is it worth the hassle? many Irish over there would do almost anything for one!
