If you're right then my life is made that much easier. I reckon I got about 60% in the Algebra and 30% in the Calculus so hopefully it'll even out at 45%, otherwise it's back in August for me

Ah, myself, bosmedia and reap-a-rat are all IT so we're not doing Biology.

And what do ye mean by compensation?

like if you get 30% in paper 1 and 80% in paper 2 will you pass the overall exam by adding the excess of paper 2 to paper 1

Only 5% as far as I know can be used for compensation

I thought it was 40% for all subjects, if its not I definitely failed.
    Ted Hurleys questions were tricky.

No no no, it's 40%, I was just saying if I got 30% in one paper and 60% in another would it balance out at 45% (two percentages added together and divided by two).

And here was I thinking I'd never use maths again after those exams...

from what i have heard from people who have done nui science exams before, (but this is by no means certain), a pass is 35% or 40% and as long as you get >25% you can compensate.

Thank Christ! Dodgy enough at 40%

She hasn't seen an IT class before then :P

I swear, by the end of fourth year, the business world will be seeing a whole load of mathematically challenged IT graduates! :D
