Was on the phone the other day and said that UPC where doing the local rounds and give me a good deal. The give me 20% of my bill for 1 year and a new sky HD box with 50% of the HD pack for 3 mouths for 30 euros
so when you ring sky say UPC where calling around today
but the funny thing was the guy in the call center was from my small town lol

Although it worked for you, it mightn't work for someone else. It really all depends on who you get on the phone when you ring them.

I rang them and said i need to cut costs due to current climate and that taking sky out was a consideration or maybe even downgrading.i also mentioned that upc had few good deals in the market. In the same call i cancelled ESPN cos i didnt watch it. Was offered 10% off for the next the next 6 months. I'm still with sky.

You could go the freesat/DTT route and eliminate your sky bills forever.
